Tod Hefflin, P.A.-c

Physician Assistant

Tod Hefflin is a nationally board certified Physician Assistant. The medical field is a second career for Tod as he graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH with a Bachelor’s degree in Paper Science Engineering. This lead to a 9 year career as a Senior Product Specialist for Hercules Incorporated in Jacksonville, FL. Tod traveled to paper mills throughout North America assisting in the production of paper products and advising mills about methods of improving wastewater clarification and recycling efforts.

In 2004, Tod embarked on his second career and was accepted into the University of Colorado’s Physician Assistant program. During this rigorous 3 year program, Tod decided to focus his training in the areas of Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. This included several medical rotations within the University of Colorado Hospital System and the Denver Health Medical System in the areas of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Adolescent Medicine, Pediatrics, Asthma & Allergy, Cardiology and Orthopedics. Tod also spent a month training in the Emergency Department at Western General Hospital in Weston-Super-Mae, England. He is currently scheduled to complete his Master’s Project in May 2008 dealing with the treatment of adolescent obesity.

Tod is originally from Dayton, OH, but has lived in Jacksonville and Pittsburgh prior to moving to Denver 6 years ago with his wife, Allison. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife as well as road bicycling, running, skiing and golfing.


Heather Jones, MMS, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Heather Jones is a nationally board certified Physician Assistant. She began her pursuit of a career in medicine at the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Human Biology. Her Masters project focused on the pharmacological characterization of novel pain relieving compounds. Upon graduation, Heather worked at the University of Colorado Hospital as a Rehab Therapy Technician. She then entered a rigorous 24-month Physician Assistant program at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colorado. She graduated from the program with honors and earned a second Master’s degree, a Masters of Medical Science from Saint Francis University.

As a Physician Assistant, Heather is trained in several medical disciplines (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Geriatrics, Surgery, Cardiology, and Emergency Medicine) and is qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in many settings. Heather is very passionate about medicine and has special interest in disease prevention, health promotion, patient education, women’s health, and geriatrics.

Heather is a native of Colorado and in her spare time, she enjoys being with friends and family, camping, hiking, biking, and participating in many team sports.
