Dr. Michael Bathke has been practicing many forms of
chiropractic medicine for over 20 years. His dynamic style has
resulted in thousands of patients finding relief from a wide variety
of health problems and ailments. Through extensive training and
experience, he brings to his practice at East-West Health Centers
a combination of traditional modalities and adjustment styles to
the latest innovations in chiropractic, including Sports
Orthopedics, Neurology, Nutrition, Advanced Sports Training,
Meridian Therapy and Laser Protocols. He has also served as
team physician for a variety of sports teams, including the US
National Rugby Team, Aspen Gentleman Rugby Team (5-time
national champions), US Pro Ski Tour and the Aspen, CO high
school football team. He has also provided private treatment for
many professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, US Ski
Team and World Cup Ski Team.
"Dr. Mike" received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from
Northwestern College in Chiropractic in St. Paul, Minnesota after
growing up in the Twin Cities-Wisconsin area. He also was the
Senior Head Resident at Northwestern. Dr. Mike was in private
practice in Aspen for approximately 20 years before relocating
to the Denver area in 2001. He has published numerous articles
in a wide variety of chiropractic and lifestyle journals.
Dr. Mike is married to Robin and they have a daughter, Lindsey,
who is attending the University of Boulder, majoring in radio
communications. Outside the office, Dr. Mike serves on numerous
civic and professional boards and devotes many hours to help
develop musical education in the public and private sectors. He
is the co-founder of "The Phoenix Media Group" and the
Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Urban Youth Center,
music division. He is an avid skier, outdoorsman, motorcyclist,
and plays guitar.
Dr. Shamanie Haneca
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Shamanie Haneca received a Bachelor
of Science in Human Biology and went on
to earn her Doctorate of Chiropractic for
Norhtwestern Health Sciences University.
Her love of health and helping people
started young as she witnessed firsthand the wonders of
chiropractic, as her Dad was also a Doctor.
She ran a successful family practice in Minnesota (where she
is originally from) and was able to help many patients from
the very young to the aged with numerous health conditions.
Her mission is to help relieve suffering and help patients achieve
a greater level of health.
She has specialized training in pediatrics and prenatal care, as
well as women s health. She also uses functional medicine and
clinical nutrition to access and treat her patient s varied health
problems. Her gentle approach makes treatment comfortable
and effective. Her encouragement helps patients meet their
specific health goals. Her treatments are drug free and natural,
allowing the body to heal without the side effects of drugs and
surgery.
Dr. Haneca has taken chiropractic to the third world country of
Jamaica. She has led and organized two chiropractic mission
trips to serve and treat over 500 special needs children who
live in a orphanage as well as people of the surrounding
communities of Kingston, Jamaica. She plans to do more
mission trips in the future.
Dr. Haneca is married to husband, Nick and they have two
children that they enjoy! As a family they love to hike and
explore the mountains of Colorado as well as rock climb. She
also enjoys reading and playing the piano as well as spending
time with family and friends.
