Michael Harman received his 4-year training in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego, where he attained a Master s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MTOM). He is certified by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and is Licensed in California, and Colorado. Michael also has a Bachelor s degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.

Michael moved to New York in 2000 to work in a multidisciplinary clinic. In 2 years, he treated over 800 patients, many of who had neck, back, and extremity sprain/strain injuries due to trauma from automobile accidents. He also treated various other conditions such as sciatica, post-operation pain, stress, insomnia, headaches, anxiety, hypertension, depression, and other emotional problems, weight control, indigestion, sinusitis, allergies, and women s health, etc.

Michael is also very interested in the treatment of lower extremity conditions. Since 1998, he has been traveling around the country as one of the best shoe / hiking boot fitters in the industry, teaching retail employees, dealers, representatives, and medical professionals about biomechanics, orthoses, modification, and other more professional fit techniques to provide better comfort and health.

In his free time, Michael enjoys mountain biking, snow skiing, backpacking, and other outdoors activities, as well as swing (Lindy Hop) dancing.


Madalina Mateescu, L.Ac., M.S., Dipl. OM

Madalina began her medical career in Romania, her country of birth, where she completed her M.D. at one of Romania’s top medical schools. While studying Western medicine, she was introduced to acupuncture and was very impressed with how effective acupuncture was for many conditions that conventional medicine could not effectively treat. After completing her Master’s degree in molecular biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Madalina was involved in medical research at the Seattle Biomedical Research Institute where she helped implement a clinical malaria study in Tanzania. After that, she completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania where she published her work in peer reviewed medical journals.

She missed patient contact and her roots as a physician, so she completed a second Master’s degree in Oriental medicine at the Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. While studying for her second M.S. degree, Madalina passed the United States Medical Licensing Exams and received the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) certification.

Madalina has a unique understanding of both Eastern and Western medicine, and places a strong priority on educating her patients and learning about their individual conditions so she can better meet their needs. She is certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed in the states of Colorado and California.

In addition, Madalina is an instructor and clinic supervisor at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Madalina works with a wide range of aliments that include: digestive disorders, allergies, chronic fatigue, musculoskeletal conditions, headaches, emotional problems, gynecological disorders, addictions and many other disorders.


Dr. Wenying Lin, L.Ac

Lin received her medical degree from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Upon completion of her six-year program, Lin worked at Beijing Xuan Wu Hospital where she used her western and Chinese medicine training to treat a broad range of illnesses and diseases. In addition, she successfully treated infertility and chronic pain.

Lin received training from Dr. XiaoPing Ji, an internationally renowned and respected acupuncturist, who practices in China. Dr. Ji is the co-writer of Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion (CAM). CAM has been translated in many languages and the majority of all acupuncturists in the United States use this book as a primary reference.

Lin is part of Craig Hospital's Complimentary Alternative Medicine (CAM) program. The CAM program combines the expertise of Colorado's top medical doctors and acupuncturists to address and treat Craig Hospital's most difficult cases. This complimentary approach is the first of its kind in Colorado and is being used as a model for other healthcare facilities. Lin was one of three practitioners chosen for this honor and has been recognized for her outstanding abilities and results.

Lin was an instructor and clinic supervisor at the Colorado School of Traditional Medicine. The National Certification Commission certified Lin in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and as a licensed acupuncturist with the state of Colorado. Lin is also a professional member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado.

Lin is the founder of Acupuncture Associates. This is the largest association of acupuncturists in Colorado. She is also the co-owner of Whole Health Centers, located at Highlands Ranch and Littleton.

Lin's specialties are infertility, chronic pain and allergies.

  • Natalie Zajac, L.Ac., M.S.A.O.M.

    Natalie Zajac is a nationally (NCCAOM) certified acupuncturist and is licensed in California and Colorado.

    After graduating from University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Natalie attended Bastyr University in Seattle and received a Master’s of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in June of 2000. This degree entails not only acupuncture, but also Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, and massage (tui na). Natalie continued to pursue her studies of acupuncture and herbal medicine by traveling to China. There she earned certifications in musculoskeletal injuries and diseases at The Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also obtained certifications in gynecology and internal medicine at Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine.

    Natalie was offered a position practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine, with one of the founders of the acupuncture program at Bastyr, Dr. Qiang Cao, L.Ac., Dipl.C.H., O.M.D., N.D. and Dr. Hai Lan, L.Ac., Dipl. C.H., O.M.D., who were both trained in China and have approximately 55 years of clinical experience between them. There, she was able to further her skills immensely.

    She went on to work at Castro Holistic Health Center in San Francisco for 2 years, and has now relocated to Colorado to be closer to her family. Natalie has had her own experience with chronic pain and female health issues and has used Chinese medicine to help her. She has a great understanding of treating many of these issues, and now works in conjunction with local infertility clinics. Natalie has a broad knowledge of both Eastern and Western medicine; having grown up assisting her father at his family medical practice. She is interested in helping both men and women with reproductive health and fertility issues, her focus is on infertility, hormonal imbalances, PMS, and endometriosis. In addition, Natalie treats acute and chronic pain, addiction, digestive disorders, stress, allergies, chronic fatigue, headaches and many other disorders.

    Her work with people helps to facilitate the natural and instinctive healing process of the body. Her focus is on ongoing health, not just temporary relief. To be healed in a non-invasive manner, without the unwelcome side effects of surgery or pharmaceuticals, is truly a miracle to many people.


    Stefanie Greenleaf L.Ac., MSOM

    Stefanie’s passion for medicine began over thirteen years ago as a pre-med student at the University of Vermont. Upon completion of her Bachelor’s, she focused her attention on the intensive study of western herbs, which led her from western medicine to eastern. She received her Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine at Southwest acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM, and completed a clinical internship in Beijing, China, at China Japan Friendship Hospital, where she studied the prescription of herbs with the most highly regarded doctors.

    Stefanie has a very gentle and effective acupuncture style and uses a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element & Japanese-style acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, Tuina, Shiatsu and Qi Gong approaches. She specializes in infertility, chronic and acute pain relief and gynecological issues. She also treats insomnia, stress, weight loss, digestive issues, emotional and psychological disorders, addictions, headaches, sports medicine, cosmetic acupuncture and more. Trained in a variety of modalities, she utilizes the methods that best meet each patient’s needs, whether on a physical, emotional or spiritual level.

    Stefanie is NCCAOM certified & licensed in the state of Colorado. She has a passion for the outdoors, a love for animals and is committed to the daily spiritual practices of yoga and meditation.
